On this tour from Whitehorse, we'll leave the area of Yukon behind and travel to Alaska, where we'll visit the fascinating city of Skagway. It will be an unforgettable route around the Northwest of North America!
Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Whitehorse at the time indicated. From here, we'll head south to the heart of one of the most beautiful areas in the Canadian region of Yukon, in the northwest of the country.
The first stop of the day will be Emerald Lake, a glacial lake where we'll explore its shores. In addition, we'll enjoy a light snack and drink in this tranquil environment.
We'll continue the tour of Yukon in the Carcross Desert, the smallest in the world. How is it possible that there are sand dunes in such a Northern Area of Canada? During the tour, we'll learn why this is the case!
After discovering the history of this desert, we'll come across the city of Carcross and continue south towards the border. Leaving Canada behind, we'll admire the landscape of the White Pass mountain pass, continuing into Alaska in the USA.
In Alaska, we'll stop off in Skagway, a picturesque port town, famous for its wooden houses built in the golden rush era. As we explore this town, we'll discuss its past, when hundreds of adventurers decided to travel to North America in search of precious metals.
Then, we'll give you an hour free to eat in Skagway, before heading back to your hotel in Whitehorse, where we'll arrive after approximately 9 hours of activity. See you again soon!
