Soldiers, horsemen, archers, swordsmen... a powerful and numerous army awaits! At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Xi'an, and we'll make our way to the world-famous Terracotta Army.
Considered the eighth wonder of the world, this magnificent depiction of Qin Shi Huang's army is composed of thousands of lifelike sculptures of warriors featuring different faces and poses.
During the guided tour of the site of the Terracotta Warriors, which will last between 2.5 and 3 hours, we'll delve into the many questions you may have. What was the emperor's purpose for ordering the construction of this army? Did he fear an invasion?
After learning the secrets of these ferocious terracotta fighters, we'll return to downtown Xi'an for a one-hour break at the Daqin Xiaoyan restaurant. There, we'll replenish our strength with a Chinese lunch that will include various dishes of the local gastronomy.
After lunch, we'll move on to our private tour of Xi'an City Wall. This great citadel, built in the 14th century during the Ming dynasty, occupies a perimeter of almost 14 kilometres (8.7 miles). As we walk for 1.5 hours along a section of this extensive structure, we'll learn interesting details about the history of Xi'an and its city wall, erected to combat the various invaders who tried to take the city.
After the guided tour of the Xi'an wall, we'll return to your hotel about 7.5 hours after pickup.
