On this private tour, we'll visit the Famen Temple, a key Buddhist pilgrimage site, as well as the beautiful traditional Chinese village of Yuanjiacun, learning all about Chinese customs and traditions along the way!
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Xi'an and set off on a 1.5-hour drive to the Famen temple, one of the most significant religious monuments in the Shaanxi region.
On our 2.5-3 hour guided tour of this temple, you'll see one of the Buddha relics as well as the pagoda, which underwent a remarkable reconstruction effort following its unfortunate destruction by severe storms.
We'll then head to a local restaurant in the area to enjoy a delicious traditional Chinese lunch. Over the course of an hour, you'll taste various local specialities, which will allow you to discover the essence of Chinese gastronomy.
After lunch, we'll head to Yuanjiacun village, nestled in the foothills of a majestic mountain. Once in the centre of this small town, we'll start a 2.5 to 3-hour walking tour through its picturesque streets. We'll gain a deeper insight into the essence of Chinese culture as we stroll by its traditional stores. From Yuanjiacun village, we'll finally return to your hotel in Xi'an, where we'll arrive about 8 hours after pickup.
