Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Zrinjevac Park and, once we're all together, we'll start this free food tour of Zagreb. Get ready to uncover the secrets of Croatian cuisine!

First, we’ll visit the Dolac Market. As soon as you arrive, you’ll notice the rows of red umbrellas over the stalls—the market’s unmistakable symbol. This market has been in operation since 1930!

As we wander through the stalls filled with fresh meat, fish, and cheese, we’ll enjoy several tastings of local products, such as dried figs, honey, fresh cheese with cream, čvarci, and burek. These simple, traditional flavors will give you a taste of everyday Croatian culinary culture.

From there, we'll head to Opatovina Park, where we'll learn about Zagreb's rich history and how it's reflected in its food.

We’ll continue the tour as we head toward Tkalčićeva Street, where we’ll stop for a tasting of a traditional appetizer. You’ll learn why fish is a staple of Croatian cuisine.

Finally, we’ll walk through the Grič Tunnel to our last stop, where we’ll enjoy a tasting of rakija and homemade jams.

Lastly, after 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll bid farewell at the starting point.
