This speedboat transport between Barreirinhas and Atins is the most comfortable way to get between two of the most iconic cities in Maranhão.
Speedboat Transport Options
When booking, you can choose between the following options to quickly travel between the cities of Barreirinhas and Atins:
One-way from Barreirinhas to Atins
At the appointed time, we'll meet at Avenida Beira Rio, in the center of Barreirinhas, to board the speedboat that will take us to the port of Fora in Atins. After approximately an hour and a half trip by boat, you'll arrive in Atins, where a 4x4 will be waiting to take you to your hotel. The trip between the port and the hotels in Atins usually takes about 1 hour.
Round-trip from Barreirinhas to Atins
In this option, for the outbound leg, we'll stick to the itinerary outlined in the previous section. For the return journey, on the designated day, we'll collect you at the agreed-upon time from your hotel in Atins. You'll then board a 4x4 vehicle that will transport you to the Fora port in about 1 hour. From there, we'll embark on a speedboat heading to the city of Barreirinhas. After sailing for approximately an hour and a half, you'll disembark at the pier on Avenida Beira Rio.
Departure Times
The speedboat transfer between Atins and Barreirinhas operates daily at the following times:
- Departures from Barreirinhas: 12:30 pm.
- Departure from Atins: at 7 am and 2 pm. We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Atins approximately 1 hour before the boat departs.
Hotel Pickup
Please note that the pickup and drop–off at your hotel is only included in the city of Atins. In the town of Barreirinhas, we'll meet directly at the pier, in front of the restaurant O Bambu.
Important
We recommend scheduling transfers or other services at least one hour after the scheduled arrival time, considering that adjustments and delays in the schedule may be made if navigability conditions are not adequate or if other unforeseen events arise.
