On this Bariloche tour, we'll uncover the fascinating origins of this Argentine region by delving into the captivating stories of its pre-European colonization inhabitants. Our journey will introduce us to the Patagonians, the Mapuches, and the Canoeros, unveiling the intriguing intricacies of these pre-Hispanic tribes.
Who were these indigenous peoples, and what customs shaped their lives? Do their ancestral roots live on today? We'll discuss these questions on our journey through Bariloche, following in the footsteps of these remarkable communities. Starting at the Civic Center, we'll come to the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, a significant location in the development of these cultures. Here, we'll encounter their sculptures and delve into their symbolism and significance, further enriching our understanding of their heritage.
Continuing on, we'll visit the Church of Nuestra Señora del Nahuel Huapi, where we'll gain insight into the connection between the indigenous peoples of Patagonia and the Catholic Church. We'll continue on to the Museum of Patagonia, housing a collection of incredible artifacts from the Patagonian, Mapuche, and canoeist cultures.
