Fancy visiting a beautiful village in the middle of Patagonia? On this day trip to Villa La Angostura, we'll visit the Quetrihué peninsula and the bay of Nahuel Huapi Lake, where the famous Arrayanes forest stands out.
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll depart from Bariloche along the National Route 40, a famous road that will bring us towards Nahuel Huapi Lake. During the journey, we'll also enjoy breathtaking views of the Limay River and the Patagonian steppe.
Following a 1.5-hour journey, we'll arrive at Villa La Angostura, in the province of Neuquén. We'll make our way through the streets of the centre, and in the shopping area, we'll stop to admire the alpine-style wooden buildings which are typical of the town.
After visiting the small historic centre, we'll then tour the surroundings of Villa La Angostura, where we'll admire the native vegetation of the arrayanes forest that surrounds the town.
We'll also enjoy the beautiful landscapes that surround the Nahuel Huapi National Park and the Quetrihué peninsula, an extensive area that juts out into the bay of the lake, a real spectacle!
Finally, we'll return to the pickup point in Bariloche, where this 6-hour day trip will come to an end.
Villa La Angostura and Cerro Bayo
During the winter season, from July 1 to September 15, the tour to Villa La Angostura will include a visit to Cerro Bayo.
In this case, we'll depart from Bariloche to visit the famous Cerro Bayo ski resort, where, if you wish, we can take the cable car up to the summit to enjoy the breathtaking views. Finally, we'll head to Villa La Angostura, where we'll take the usual tour. The day trip will end 8 hours later with your return to the hotel.
