Discover the essence of the Chinese capital with this comprehensive tour of the Temple of Heaven, the Lama Temple, and the Summer Palace. You will discover imperial grandeur, Buddhist spirituality, and traditional Beijing life.

Tour Options

Temple of Heaven Tour: does not include lunch or the visit to the Summer Palace or the Lama Temple

Below, you can read the details of each tour:

Temple of Heaven Tour (2 Hours)

At the designated time, we'll meet at Tiantandongmen Station and from there, we'll head to the Temple of Heaven.

Once there, we'll begin exploring this extraordinary imperial complex, learning about the history of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Along the way, we'll see iconic sites such as the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

Finally, after 2 hours, we'll conclude the tour at the entrance of the Temple of Heaven.

Full Tour (8 Hours)

We'll begin our tour early in the morning from Tiantandongmen Station, where your guide will be waiting. We'll then head to the Temple of Heaven, the largest imperial temple complex in China, where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests. We'll admire the majestic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, a masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture.

We'll continue our day by heading to the Lama Temple, the most prestigious Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Beijing. This impressive site blends Han and Tibetan architectural styles. Here, we'll admire the imposing Maitreya Buddha statue, carved from a single sandalwood tree and standing 18 meters tall.

After visiting the temple, we'll take you to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch featuring a traditional dish: Peking duck. Enjoy!

Refreshed, we'll then head to the Summer Palace, an imperial garden declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known as the "Royal Garden Museum." We'll stroll along Kunming Lake and admire the iconic Long Corridor, with its painted scenes that reflect the harmony between humanity and nature.

If you wish, you can take an optional cruise along the Imperial Canal. This historic route was used by royalty to reach the Summer Palace by boat. Those who do not wish to take the cruise will have free time to continue exploring the palace.

At this final point, we'll say goodbye after a total of 8 hours of the day trip.
