At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Huaypo Lake, just outside the village of Chequerec, only 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Urubamba. There, we'll start our day painting Pucará bulls, are you ready to discover one of the most endearing traditions of Peru?
For 2 hours, we'll have the opportunity to paint these colorful handmade ceramic pieces, each one of them adorned with rich details and deep meanings. We'll provide you with all the necessary materials so that you can give free rein to your creativity.
In this workshop, you'll not only get to paint your own little bull to take home as a souvenir but also learn about the Andean tradition behind this unique art form. Did you know that these miniature bulls represent conjugal union and serve as symbols of home protection?
After creating your masterpieces, you'll have an hour of free time to explore the lagoon and relax in this natural environment—the perfect time to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the landscape!
Afterward, we'll enjoy a delicious gourmet picnic in the fresh air. Enjoy a pleasant lunch by the lagoon, but don't forget to pay attention to the serenity of the Andean landscape. We'll savor a variety of culinary delights made with authentic ingredients as we connect with the nature around us.
Lunch includes a starter, a main course and a dessert, as well as tea and a cold drink, a choice of water, wine or beer, a perfect way to end this day full of art and nature!
Finally, we'll bring the experience to an end after 5.5 hours.
