If you love ornithology and are in Cusco, you can't miss this birdwatching activity at Huacarpay Lake, a wetland with great Andean biodiversity.
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and head to Huacarpay Lake, one of the best places in the region for spotting Andean birds.
During the trip, we'll make a stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Upon arrival at the Huacarpay Lake, we'll take a small walk to the first viewpoint of the day.
It's a cabin where we'll be able to spot our first birds flying over the lake. Great crested grebe, torrent ducks, Chilean flamingos and Andean Gulls are just a few examples of what you might see. So be on the lookout!
Afterwards, we'll continue to walk until we reach the southwest side of the lake, from where we'll be able to spot the bearded mountaineer hummingbird. Did you know this is one of the few places these can be spotted? We'll also tell you lots of facts about the lake's flora. It will be an unforgettable experience!
Finally, with our cameras full of incredible photos from Huacarpay Lake, we'll drop you off at your hotel 6 hours after the start of the activity.
