Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to the train station for your journey to Machu Picchu. Ready?
You'll enjoy one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, with glass ceilings and panoramic windows that make you feel as though you're gliding through the Andes.
On arrival in Aguas Calientes, we'll board a bus that winds up the mountain for 30 minutes to the entrance of the lost city of the Incas.
For 2.5 hours, your private guide will take you through the key highlights of Machu Picchu, including the Guardhouse, the temples, and the agricultural terraces. You'll uncover the secrets of Inca greatness without the distractions of large groups.
After the visit, we'll head back down to Aguas Calientes, where you'll have between 2 and 5 hours of free time to try some local cuisine, explore the town, and pick up some handicrafts before boarding the return train. The exact amount of free time will depend on your Machu Picchu entry time and the return train schedule.
On arrival back in Cusco, we'll take you to your hotel, wrapping up this 14 to 18-hour day trip.
