Enjoy a guided tour of Esquel and a visit to the breathtaking ski resort of La Hoya. Explore this pure Argentinean setting in the heart of Andean Patagonia!
After picking you up at your hotel at 2:30 pm, we'll set off on a one-hour panoramic tour of Esquel. During our tour, we'll check out the main points of interest in this beautiful Argentine city.
We'll start out by passing by Esquel's City Hall and through the Plaza General San Martin. We'll take a minute to admire the Seion Chapel, which was built by the first Welsh settlers who arrived in Argentina. Do you know why they emigrated from the British Isles to this remote part of South America? We'll find out! The tour will come to an end after checking out the Melipal Cultural Center.
Then, it'll be time to go to La Hoya: a famous ski resort only half an hour from Esquel. There we'll take a one-hour guided tour to explore the slopes of this mountain which reaches 1350 meters (4,500 feet) above sea level.
If you take the tour in the autumn-winter season, we'll get to admire the majesty of the snow-capped peaks. If you come in spring or summer, we'll be able to appreciate in more detail the rocky landscapes of the mountains.
From La Hoya, we'll finally return to your hotel in Esquel, where we'll arrive at 4:30 pm.
