Join us on our day trip to the Everglades from Fort Myers and hop on an airboat to see some of the animals that thrive in this Floridian ecosystem. Let's go!
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up at your chosen meeting point and set off for the Everglades. This huge wetland covers a large part of South Florida. Let's explore it!
On our way there, we'll discuss the conservation efforts in place in the Everglades, which is one of the world's most unique wilderness areas. Once we've arrived, we'll board an airboat and start exploring the Everglades' marshes and swamps.
Along the way, you'll see alligators and a wide variety of birds, such as roseate spoonbills, great egrets and purple gallinules.
Before our tour comes to an end, we'll learn all about Florida's reptiles through an interactive presentation. You'll discover how long alligators can stay underwater, what their life expectancy is like and when their nesting season takes place.
After 5 hours of fun, we'll say our goodbyes at the meeting point in Fort Myers.
Looking for even more fun? On this tour we'll also hike through the Everglades' swamp forests. These freshwater areas are home to an abundance of cypress trees that provide shelter for owls and woodpeckers.
Look out for orchids, bromeliads and vines! These plants create a subtropical landscape unique to North America. You'll also want to keep an eye out for any alligators or turtles nesting nearby!
After the hike, we'll take a 1-hour boat ride on the estuary of the Everglades National Park - don't forget your camera! Before continuing the tour, we'll have some lunch. You'll have a choice of fried chicken, a cheeseburger, a grilled chicken sandwich, a quesadilla or a grilled chicken salad. Delicious!
We'll round off our experience with an airboat ride through the wetlands before finishing the tour.
