Guayaquil Botanical Gardens Tour
After picking you up from your hotel we'll head straight to the Botanical Garden of Guayaquil, one of the largest in this area of Ecuador - it's five hectares in size!
During our tour of the garden, we'll see many kinds of tropical trees such as the guayacán, which is commonly used for wood manufacturing. We'll also learn to distinguish the various types of exotic plants that make up the park's ecosystem. Among the most important are several native species of Ecuador such as tillandsias and bromeliads. Do you know why their flowers are so brightly coloured?
Guayaquil's Botanical Garden also has a large collection of orchids that are not just from Ecuador, but also from other Latin American countries and even from other parts of the world.
During the guided tour of the garden we'll also see an impressive variety of tropical wildlife. Beautiful Ecuadorian butterflies feed on the nectar from the flowers in the park!
At the end of our tour we'll take you back to your hotel.
