At the time indicated, we'll meet at 1675 Lower Water Street in Halifax and from here we'll head south.
After a drive of about an hour, we'll arrive in Peggy's Cove, one of the prettiest coastal areas in Nova Scotia. Once here, we'll walk to the lighthouse, the most famous and photographed on the Eastern Canadian Coast.
In fact, out of the 160 historical lighthouses in Nova Scotia, the one that attracts the most tourists is without a doubt the one at Peggy's Cove. Why is it so popular? After learning about the main reasons, we'll continue our tour taking a walk around this small fishing village. We'll walk around its harbour and learn about the area's maritime traditions.
During the walk, we'll enjoy beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean that we can see from Peggy's Point viewpoint. We'll also explore the town's main points of interest, such as the William deGarthe Art Gallery.
To end our tour around Peggy's Cove, we'll return to Halifax. We'll arrive at the meeting point around 3.5 hours after the initial pickup.
