At the indicated time, we’ll meet next to the monkey statue at Old Bridge Gate in Heidelberg, before setting off into the heart of Heidelberg’s festive magic.
Upon arrival at Heidelberg's Christmas Market, we'll be greeted by the smell of roasting chestnuts and mulled wine wafting through the air. As we savour a warming cup of mulled wine, we'll wander along the cobbled streets, beautifully adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations.
The market features wooden stalls festively decorated with garlands, offering a wonderful selection of handicrafts—from wooden toys to hand-painted ceramics. Of course, we'll also see stalls selling some traditional treats such as stollen and gingerbread biscuits—be sure to grab a snack!
While walking through the market, we'll be serenaded by Christmas carols performed by local choirs. We'll also see the majestic Heidelberg Castle in the background, its enchanting lights adding a magical touch to our surroundings.
After 2 hours of festive fun and exploration, we'll wrap up our tour in the bustling Marktplatz. Schöne Feiertage!
