Waimea Canyon, Wailua River & Fern Grotto Tour
If you opt for this tour, prepare for a day of breathtaking and unparalleled natural landscapes from start to finish!
Arriving in Kauai, we'll head straight to our first stop of the day: Waimea Canyon. This gorge, affectionately known as "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific," spans over 10 miles (15 kilometers) and is 1 mile wide (1.6 kilometers). We'll marvel at this natural wonder with its deep valley and striking red soil, rich in lush greenery, as it's sure to captivate you.
From here, we'll head to Opaekaa Falls. This tranquil 151-foot tall (46 meters), 40-foot wide (12-meter) waterfall is one of Kauai's largest and also most easily accessible. Fun fact: in the island's native language, "opaekaa" means "rolling shrimp."
Our next stop of the day is at Spouting Horn Blowhole, one of Kauai's most photographed spots, thanks to the crashing waves casting magical curtains of water against the lava rocks along the ground. The views don't stop there, though! From here, it's on to the Hanapepe Valley lookout point, where we'll be treated to expansive views of the valley below, covered by trees and wild sugarcane.
Next up is a visit to Wailua River for a tranquil 2-hour open-air boat ride down the serene waters. Then, we'll reach Fern Grotto, hop out of the boat, enjoy a short walkabout through the tropical rainforest, and go to a ferned cave. Accompanied by a traditional Hawaiian wedding song, we'll bring the tour to a close and take you back to the airport to return to Oahu.
After 13.5 hours, we'll part ways so you can continue your magical Hawaiian adventure.
Kauai Movie Adventure Tour
Calling all film aficionados! If you're a big movie buff, this tour through Kauai is for you, as we'll visit famous sites where several Hollywood blockbusters were filmed.
Arrive in Kauai, and we'll head straight into our tour itinerary. First up is Ahukini Landing, where parts of the film "Donovan's Reef" were filmed in 1963, starring American Western's best actor John Wayne.
From here, it's off to Lydgate Beach. This site is sure to ring some bells as it's the place where the 1961 classic film "Blue Hawaii" was filmed. Still don't recognize it? Picture this: Elvis Presley in a Hawaiian t-shirt!
Next up is Kapaa Town. Now, this site, in particular, is a more modern film site as it set the scene for the 1993 Spielberg classic "Jurassic Park." While a majority of the movie was actually filmed in Oahu, the lush scenery and landscapes in Kauai helped give the film a prehistoric ambiance.
Then, we'll head to Kealia's lookout point and the nearby Kalalea Mountain. The former offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley, and the latter is affectionately referred to as "King Kong's Profile" due to its resemblance to the famous ape's head.
Our penultimate stop along the tour is Princeville, an area that inspired the animated Disney classic "Lilo & Stitch." As we leave this area, we'll reach our final stop of the day in the town of Hanalei, the same town where the Oscar-winning movie "The Descendants" was filmed.
We'll wrap up our tour after 13.5 hours of cinematic adventure and bring you back to the airport to head back to Oahu.
Kauai Movie Adventure & Helicopter Tour
When opting for this all-inclusive tour, we'll follow the same itinerary as mentioned above in the Kauai Movie Adventure Tour. We'll complete the experience with a flyover tour of the island of Kauai!
We'll enjoy aerial views of Hanapepe Valley and Waimea Canyon, as well as soar over Manawaiopuna Falls, otherwise known as "Jurassic Park" falls. Can you guess why?
Before coming back down to Earth, we'll fly over Hanalei Bay and Mt Waialeale for our final picturesque views before touching down again and bringing our exciting day to an end.
This tour also ends after 13.5 hours, when we'll bring you to the airport to return to Oahu.
