Champagne Christian Muller Vineyard
The Champagne region, birthplace of France’s sparkling wines, is home to beautiful wine-producing villages such as Mailly-Champagne. This town is where the Champagne Christian Muller winery is located, one of the best-known wineries in the area.
We’ll begin the visit to this French champagne tourism center by exploring its extensive vineyards. Today, these vineyards cover an area of 15 hectares (37 acres), with 80% dedicated to Pinot Noir grapes and 20% to Chardonnay grapes.
As we walk through the vines, we’ll learn about the history of Christian Muller, a winemaker originally from Luxembourg who arrived in Mailly-Champagne, his wife’s hometown, at the end of the 19th century.
During the guided tour, we’ll discover the secrets of the winery’s exceptional Grand Cru terroir. We’ll also learn about the viticulture techniques used to produce high-quality French champagne.
After visiting the vineyards, we’ll finish the experience with a tasting of 2 champagnes and a ratafia, a sweet digestif liqueur that is sure to surprise you.
The visit, which lasts a total of 1 hour, will conclude with this tasting experience.
