Day Trip Details
After picking you up from your hotel, we’ll begin this day trip with a short introduction before heading to our first destination. Once everything’s ready, we’ll set off. Let the adventure begin!
In about half an hour, we’ll reach Punta Sal Beach, a vast stretch of golden sand and turquoise water where you’ll have an hour of free time to relax and enjoy the sea. The perfect opportunity for a swim and some breathtaking views.
We’ll then continue our journey along the coast for about an hour until we reach Zorritos Beach. There, a peaceful shoreline awaits, lined with palm trees that cast shade over the warm sand. For 45 minutes, you’ll have the chance to stroll along the beach, cool off in the water, or grab a drink with a view of the South Pacific.
Next, we’ll head to Puerto Pizarro, about an hour’s drive away. Upon arrival, you’ll have an hour of free time to enjoy lunch on your own at one of the town’s local restaurants.
After recharging, we’ll make our way to the Puerto Pizarro pier, where a chalana, a traditional boat, will be waiting to take us on a three-hour ride through the Tumbes mangroves.
In this natural sanctuary, we’ll navigate between twisted roots rising from the water, passing by the Islands of Love, Whale Bone, and the Birds. Along the way, we’ll spot exotic birds that inhabit this unique ecosystem on Peru’s northern coast.
After our boat ride, we’ll finish the tour with a 30-minute visit to a crocodile farm, where we’ll get a close look at these fascinating reptiles. You’ll be amazed by how still they can stay!
Finally, we’ll begin our 2.5-hour journey back to Máncora, ending the day on the town’s main street after a total of 12 hours of exploration.
