Join us on this bike tour through a spectacular nature sanctuary - the wetlands of the Limarí River, where we'll be able to spot hundreds of birds as we cycle along.
Limarí River Wetlands Bike Tour
We'll pick you up at the designated time at your hotel in Ovalle and, from there, we'll hit the road toward the Limarí River wetlands: a spectacular nature sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of local species.
As soon as we arrive, we'll embark on a fascinating two-hour bike tour. During the low-difficulty cycling route, we'll ride 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) on various flat dirt roads, ending up at Caleta El Toro beach. You'll be blown away by the scenery!
Once we reach the river inlet, we'll take a 90-minute walk to do some bird watching in the wetlands of the Limarí River. As we walk through this protected biosphere reserve, we'll use a bird-watching manual to distinguish the various native species of birds.
After the walk, we'll take a break to have a sandwich made from local products. We'll take advantage of this break to learn about other aspects of the wetland, which is also recognized as a stargazing destination due to its uniquely clear skies.
Finally, once we've replenished our strength, we'll head back to your hotel in Ovalle, where we'll arrive after a total of 6 hours.
Hotel Pickup
This activity includes pickup from hotels in downtown Ovalle. If you're staying in more remote areas, we'll pick you up at the scheduled time at the Plaza de Armas in the city center.
