Tour Details
The tour starts at the Rašín Pier in the city centre. There, you’ll board a boat to sail downstream towards the north. All aboard!
During the cruise, you’ll pass through the Smíchov locks and sail under the iconic Charles Bridge. From the deck, you can admire the views of Prague Castle, Kampa Island, the Letná Gardens and the famous Metronome. On board, you’ll have an audio guide in English so you don’t miss any details of the sights you’ll see.
After leaving the hustle and bustle of the city centre behind, the boat will take you along the lesser-known banks of Holešovice and Libeň, passing under the avant-garde Troja Bridge before disembarking on Císařský Island. From there, it's just a few minutes’ walk to the zoo entrance.
What is There to See at Prague Zoo?
Opened in 1931, Prague Zoo is a world leader in conservation. With 10 pavilions and over 150 exhibits, the park is home to more than 5,000 animals. Among its main attractions are:
- Themed pavilions: from the Indonesian jungle to the African savannah
- Activities for children: a special area for the little ones with a children's tram, playgrounds and a cable car
- Interactive experiences: giraffe and elephant feeding programmes (subject to availability)

Once you've finished exploring the zoo, simply head back to the pier on Císařský Island to catch the boat back to the city centre.

Please keep in mind that the boat times will vary depending on the season:
- From April 1 to 28 and from September 1 to October 13(outbound): Saturdays and Sundays only, with departures at 9 am, 12 pm and 3:30 pm
- From April 29 to August 31 (outbound): daily, with departures at 9 am, 12 pm and 3:30 pm
- Return from the Zoo (Císařský Island): departures at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 5:15 pm
