Hornaditas Trip
We will depart from your hotel at 9 am and set off on an exciting trip through the amazing landscapes of northern Argentina.
The first stop will be at Quebrada de Sapagua, where we will take a one hour trek to see its famous rock art up close. We will tell you about the meaning behind the strange images and also about the history of this area from the Inca period through to the arrival of the Spanish.
Very close to Sapagua is the community of Hornaditas, whose inhabitants will invite us into the traditional family homes. Its members will explain to us the main customs and traditions of the community. And to put them into practice, we will learn how to operate their looms and bake their cakes!
In addition, we will share a traditional lunch with the community of Hornaditas, whose menu will include several specialties of the local gastronomy. Between dishes, the hosts will also tell us some fascinating anecdotes and facts about the way of life in this area of northern Argentina.
After lunch we will return to your hotel in Purmamarca, where the arrival is scheduled at 6 pm.
