After meeting at the indicated time on Rua do Porto de Ribeira Grande, the heart of the maritime culture of Rabo de Peixe, we’ll board a boat and begin a journey through the waters of the Atlantic. Let’s go!
During the navigation, we’ll reveal the secrets of fishing in the Azores. We’ll show you the traditional techniques, cast the hook, and try our luck with species typical of the archipelago, such as bigeye tuna, known for its strength, or swordfish.
While we wait for a fish to bite and the line starts to tighten, we’ll enjoy the São Miguel coast from a unique perspective. We’ll see how the volcanic cliffs stand out against the blue of the ocean, a scene dotted with seagulls and shearwaters searching for food.
With the feeling of having had an intimate encounter with the essence of the Azores, we’ll begin the return to the initial meeting point, where we’ll say goodbye after a total of 4 hours of experience.
