Activity Details
At the stated time, we’ll meet at the port of Rabo de Peixe and, after a brief introduction, we’ll board the boat to begin this sunset boat trip along the north coast of São Miguel. Let’s set sail!
During the first part of the route, we’ll enjoy views of Ribeira Grande, a town known for its charming beaches and peaceful atmosphere. From the boat, you’ll be able to admire the contrast between the island’s greenery and the deep blue of the Atlantic.
Next, we’ll sail towards the impressive cliffs of Ponta do Cintrão and Ponta do Ermo, two headlands shaped by centuries of sea erosion. This area belongs to the Fogo Volcanic Complex, where you’ll see natural caves and watch seabirds nesting on the cliffs. A true natural spectacle!
We’ll continue the journey to the historic Port of Santa Iria, where, if sea conditions allow, we’ll make a stop to swim in its crystal-clear waters and enjoy a moment of relaxation. During this stop, you’ll be able to have rosé wine, tea, or water and try biscuits made with local products while watching the sunset over the ocean.
On the final stretch, we’ll head back towards Rabo de Peixe, sailing in the direction of the sun. Without a doubt, the coastal views during the golden hour will be the perfect ending to this experience in the north of São Miguel.
Finally, we’ll say goodbye at the port after 2.5 hours of sailing through one of the most beautiful spots in the Azores archipelago.
