North Galapagos Islands 4-Day Cruise
Day 1: Baltra & Santa Cruz Islands
On the first day of the cruise, we'll pick you up from the Galapagos Islands Airport on Baltra Island. From there, we'll head toward Santa Cruz Island, where a catamaran awaits us ready for our 4-day island hopping tour.
We'll have lunch on board and sail north of Santa Cruz Island to Las Bachas beach, where we'll visit the shores where several ships were wrecked during World War II.
After an intense day, we'll rest in the cabins of the boat, sailing overnight north towards Genovesa Island.
Day 2: Genovesa Island
We'll drop anchor in Great Darwin Bay, located to the south of Genovesa Island, or Tower Island as it's alternatively known. We'll then get to explore, enjoying a short trek around the isle to discover the local wildlife up close.
In the afternoon, after lunch, we'll go to the area of El Barranco to ascend a rocky area known as Prince Phillip's Steps, named after the husband of Queen Elizabeth II of E. In this steep terrain, we'll see numerous colonies of native birds.
Finally, we'll return to the boat to rest and set course for Santiago Island.
Day 3: Santiago Island
First, we'll dock at Sullivan Bay, on Santiago Island. Did you know that one of the most interesting lava fields in the whole archipelago is located here? We'll learn about the volcanic origins of the bay while we take a fascinating walk along its trails.
Afterward, we'll head for Rabida Island, which is characterized by its intense red color. Do you know what causes this phenomenon? We'll find out! We'll also see pelicans, flamingos, and sea lions.
We'll conclude the day by relaxing on the boat as we sail back to Santa Cruz Island.
Day 4: Santa Cruz & Baltra Islands
Disembarking onto Santa Cruz Island, we'll have the unique opportunity to see the famous giant turtles in their natural habitat. After this unforgettable experience, we'll head to the north of the island and catch the ferry to Baltra Island. From there, you'll be taken to the Galapagos Islands Airport, where we'll say goodbye.
