Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Santo Amaro do Maranhão. On board a minibus, we'll then make our way to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park to explore its dunes and visit the Lagoa das Emendadas. Let's go!
Once we've arrived at the national park, we'll hop off the bus and begin a hike that'll last around 1.5 to 2 hours. The walking route will take us to the Lagoa das Emendadas, located in one of the wildest areas of this natural park.
We'll walk a total of 6 kilometres (3.7 miles), during which we'll traverse as we walk to our destination and come across other lagoons in Lençóis Maranhenses. Of course, we'll also make some short stops so that you can take photos and can go for a swim.
When we least expect it, we'll reach the Lagoa das Emendadas. We'll admire this beautiful location and learn about the native flora and fauna. Did you know that this area is ideal for the breeding of birds? Also, keep an eye out for the little turtles!
Finally, we'll watch the sunset over the lagoon, and then, we'll begin our journey back. We'll hop back on the minibus again and, after 5 hours together, we'll arrive back at the hotels, where the tour will come to an end.

This tour includes pickup from hotels in the centre of Santo Amaro do Maranhão, apart from the following hotels, at which pickup is not available: Lençóis Zaya, Pacas Suites e Chalés, Oiá Casa Lençóis and Olho d'Água dos Pereira hotels.
