Join us on a trip to uncover the astonishing natural wonders of Bajo Toterani and San Ramon on this excursion departing from Tarma. Prepare to be enchanted by waterfalls, breathtaking viewpoints, and lush Peruvian vegetation.
What's in store:
Our journey begins at the designated time as we meet at Tarma's Plaza de Armas. We'll board a comfortable minibus and set off northeast toward the heart of Bajo Toterani.
Along the way, we'll make several stops at picturesque lookout points, allowing us to relish in captivating views of the Peruvian jungle. Our first stop will be at the Carpapata viewpoint, offering a striking contrast between the lush jungle and the highlands of Junin region.
Nearby, we'll discover the awe-inspiring Cabello del Angel waterfall, a natural wonder that will leave you in awe. After taking in the beauty of this waterfall, we'll continue our journey to San Ramon, the region's second-largest city. Nestled at the confluence of the Tarma and Tulumayo rivers, the natural surroundings are absolutely dazzling.
Our next adventure takes us on a hike to the Ducha del Diablo waterfall from San Ramon. Here, you'll have free time to take a dip and enjoy the scenery. We'll then return to the road, passing through the tunnel of the Virgin en route to La Merced.
In La Merced, we'll savor a delectable tasting of organic ice cream—a delightful treat to cool off. Then, we'll traverse the Kimiri suspension bridge, where we'll get great views of the so-called Sleeping Indian hill.
Our journey continues as we reach Bajo Toterani, where you'll have an hour of free time to grab some lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we'll embark on a hike to the breathtaking Boca Tigre waterfall, renowned as one of the most beautiful in the region. Here, you'll also have the chance to swim and explore the enchanting surroundings at your own pace.
Finally, our return journey will lead us back to our starting point in Tarma, marking the end of our excursion after approximately 12 hours.
