Description
Do you want to discover one of the most southern points in the world, as well as be part of a unique winter adventure? At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia and make our way towards Puerto Almanza, a fishing village where food and nature are the main attractions. Let's go!
First off, we'll travel in a 4x4 towards the winter centre located on Victoria Lagoon, a place in an untouched forest whose landscape will leave you starstruck. We'll take a relaxing walk in search of this lagoon while we enjoy the beauty of the sites that surround us.
Once we've arrived, we'll grab a bite to eat, enjoying a delicious breakfast at the camp located in the surrounding area of the lagoon. Perfect to warm yourself up! After this rest, we'll return to the 4x4 and travel to Puerto Almanza. We'll discover the secrets of this town, such as the history of its ancestors, the Yámana.
However, a visit to Puerto Alamanza would not be complete without learning all about the spider crab and the Beagle Channel. We'll pass along the coast as we discover the way of life of the fishermen and the importance of fish for the town's inhabitants.
At around midday, we'll head to a restaurant to enjoy a beautiful three-course lunch, including a dish of Fueguina spider crab. This local restaurant also boasts some of the best views of the Beagle Channel.
Once we've eaten, we'll get on our snowshoes and begin our tour of the mountains around Puerto Almanza. To finish off the day, we'll hop on a snowmobile and explore more spots in the area at speed! It will be very exciting!
Finally, the adventure will end back at your hotel in Ushuaia after around 9 hours.
