Trip Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Ushuaia at the designated time, we'll hop into an off-roading vehicle and drive across Tierra del Fuego's beautiful Andean landscapes. And the best part? The whole area will be tinted with the gorgeous golden tones of sunset.
We'll begin by passing by the industrial zone that sparked the region's development in the 70s. We'll learn our first historical facts here while we make our way to the banks of the River Olivia and the mountain of the same name. Make sure you've got your cameras at the ready!
We'll reach the Carbajal Valley viewpoint, where we'll enjoy beautiful scenic views with glaciers in the distance. After admiring this unique natural spot as the sun is setting, we'll take Ruta Nacional 3 in search of the Haruwen Winter Resort and its Museum of Motorbikes. Venture into the fascinating world of motorbikes as you explore its collection!
Afterwards, we'll make our way to the Paso Garibaldi viewpoint, considered by many the best in Tierra del Fuego. We'll find out why as we stop to take in the views of Escondido Lake as we enjoy a snack. We'll return to the vehicle to begin our descent by road before we start an off-roading adventure.
Having securely fastened our seatbelts, we'll follow the winding road through the forest, passing the Los Álamos and La Carmen estates, before reaching Fagnano Lake. Once here, you'll have some free time to walk along the coastline.
Next, we'll visit a traditional beaver den to learn how the skilled beavers build their dams. Hungry? it's time to stop by the restaurant El Rancho! Here, we'll indulge in a 3-course dinner, made up of meat or vegetarian empanadas, meat or veggie patties, a vegetable side dish, and dessert, accompanied by a glass of wine, water, soft drink, or beer. Enjoy!
Lastly, we'll begin our journey back, saying our goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 6 to 7 hours.
