Do you like spending time in the outdoors? On this hike along Cameron Falls, you'll explore the landscapes of the most famous waterfalls of Canada's Northwest Territories.
We'll pick you up at the designated time at your hotel in Yellowknife, and from there, we'll head east.
After about 45 minutes, we'll reach the Ingraham Trail. Once we reach this trail, we'll hop out of the vehicle to start an exciting hiking route in Cameron Falls. They are the most famous waterfalls in the Northwest Territories! On the hike, we'll walk on a stretch of 1.67 miles (2.7 kilometers) with a 259-foot (79-meter) slope. The hike will last approximately 1 hour and is a moderate hiking difficulty.
Along the way, we'll stop at various spots so you can admire the lush boreal forests around the trail. You'll also be able to spot some examples of the native fauna, such as squirrels and even bears. You may even see a gray jayfly, Canada's national bird.
During this hiking route, we'll tell you about the local geology and observe volcanic rocks that are 4000 years old. As you'll see, this natural space has a very rugged yet beautiful terrain. You'll love its dreamy landscapes!
In the final stretch of the hike, we'll reach Cameron Falls. These beautiful waterfalls, standing 22 feet (7 meters) tall, are surrounded by a lush forest where you can breathe in pure air. Connect with nature!
Finally, from the waterfalls, we'll return on the road to your hotel in Yellowknife, where we'll conclude this 4-hour activity.
