Bucay Waterfalls Tour
Meet us at the Bucay Traffic Commission office to kick off our tour of the Bucay Waterfalls!
We'll hop on a bus that will take us into the heart of the Guayas jungle. From here, we'll take a 10-minute walkabout through various paths, taking in the rich biodiversity surrounding us in the Cloud Forest.
As we go further into the forest, we'll come to Las Mellizas Waterfalls, which reach up to 45 to 60 meters (147-196 feet) high. At this tranquil spot, we'll give you some free time to take a dip in the refreshing waters below the falls.
Then, we'll walk about 20 minutes more to arrive at Chorrera del Amor, falling from 30 meters (98 feet), and La Isabela. The latter is considered the biggest waterfall in Bucay, falling from a height of 90 meters (295 feet). Again, we'll give you some free time to swim in the refreshing natural pools.
Next, we'll visit a trapiche, a kind of mill used for extracting juices from the fruits growing nearby. Here, we'll try our hand at working the machine and making a glass of fresh-squeezed juice for ourselves!
Lastly, we'll enjoy a picnic-style lunch including soup, a main dish, and of course, fresh-squeezed juice.
After 5 hours full of natural beauty, we'll return to Bucay.
