On this art tour of Callao, we'll stroll through the historical center of the city, visiting its art galleries and admiring the street art murals – the best way to enjoy the culture of this port city!
At 3 pm, we'll meet at Casa Fugaz to start this art tour through the monumental zone of Callao, an area located by the emblematic port of Callao that oozes Peruvian art and culture at every corner.
The tour will start with a walk through the Plaza Matriz. Here, we'll stop in front of the most representative murals of Callao's street art. Did you know that this area is home to more than 60 murals?
Then, we'll stroll along Constitución Street and pass the Matriz Church, observing more street art by urban artists such as Entes and Chalacos.
Next, we'll go through the Galvez Passage and Square, where we'll see its art galleries and the studios of Peruvian artists. Then, we'll continue through the La Salsa passage to see other urban art exhibits by artists such as Nyeth, Decertor, or Ilustronauta. We'll then head to Casa Fugaz again to visit its art galleries located on the second floor.
After a short break, we'll visit some workshops of local artists. Then, finally, we'll go up to the Callao Rooftop, from where we'll have a fabulous panoramic view of the main attractions of the city, including the Real Felipe Convent, the Grau Square, and the port! We'll finish the tour here at around 4:30 pm.
