On this tour of Santiago de Surco, you'll visit the rich neighborhood of Lima and enjoy a shopping outing at the exclusive Jockey Plaza shopping mall.
Santiago de Surco Tour
At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Callao and head south of Lima to Santiago de Surco, a district located between Miraflores and Barranco that was originally a rural village.
Did you know that nowadays it is considered a 'garden district'? This is due to its large green areas and housing developments. What's more, the land in this neighborhood is one of the most expensive in all the Peruvian capital.
We'll stop in the old town of Santiago de Surco, where we'll explain the history of this village, which became its own district in 1929. Afterward, we'll drive through the industrial area of the nearby neighborhood of Villa El Salvador to go to the Jockey Plaza shopping mall, the largest in the city.
Here, you'll have free time to explore its exclusive stores, and then we'll take a ride on Lima's subway to the Culture Station. We'll get off at this stop to admire the buildings of the Grand Theater and the National Library of Lima, which embody the contrast between the architecture of the past and the present.
Lastly, the bus will pick us up to take us back to Callao. We'll drop you off at your hotel five and a half hours after the start of the tour.
