At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Calle Jirón 28 de Julio 710 to go to the Santa Cruz bridge. The adventure begins!
Once there, we'll go on a two-hour trekking route through the Cordillera Negra. Along the way, we'll see eagles, falcons flying over the area and the famous totora plant. Did you know that the latter was used to make rafts?
When we arrive at the Lake Wilcacocha we'll have an extraordinary panoramic view of all the Cordillera Blanca and its snowy peaks like the Huascarán, Copa, Vallunaraju and Churup. You can walk around the shore and breathe in the purest air at 3745 metres (12200 feet) of altitude. Take out your cameras!
After an hour of free time for lunch in this corner of Peru, we'll start the descent and get back in the car to Huaraz.
The arrival time at the starting point is scheduled between 3 and 4 pm.
