We enjoyed our tour of Old Town Porto with Natalia. Learning about the wall that used to surround Porto and how parts of it were taken down (or incorporated into present buildings) over time was very interesting.
We enjoyed our tour with Pedro through Vila Nova de Gaia. He was very adept at conveying the history of the area through stories about different people and places, and injected humor into them to keep the tour fun. We feel that we left the tour with a much better understanding and appreciation of the area than we would have had exploring it on our own.
It was great to have this city tour with a local, Tiago. He gave very clear English and shiwed us all the perspectives of Porto, not just from the historical and cultural point but also from the modern and daily life perspective.
