On this excursion to the Collpa thermal baths and the Paqchaccucha waterfall, you'll enjoy a circuit of saltwater and freshwater surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Acos Vinchos district!
Collpa Thermal Baths & Paqchaccucha Waterfall Excursion
At 8 am, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas in Ayacucho, from where we'll depart to our first destination of the day: the Collpa thermal baths.
These natural pools are a favorite spot for the locals, who come here to relax and have a fun day with friends and family. During the 1-hour journey, we'll admire the beautiful landscapes of the valleys in the Acos Vinchos district and its adobe houses.
We'll then access the Collpa thermal baths, which are located on a mineral-rich surface, including salt. This unique characteristic makes the land unsuitable for cultivation, but it enriches the underground springs, giving the waters medicinal properties.
After visiting the baths, we'll head to the Paqchaccucha waterfall and go on a 15-minute hike. Once we arrive at this natural spot, you can enjoy a swim in its freshwater falls.
Finally, we'll return to Ayacucho and drop you back off at the departure point around 3 pm.
