At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in the centre of Chiclayo to begin a private tour of the city's main sights.
To begin, we'll cross the Paseo de las Musas and admire the sculptures of the Nine Muses of Greek mythology. In front of the portal at the top of this popular promenade, we'll see sculptures of caryatids and discover why the city's motto is "Heroic City of Chiclayo".
Next, we'll venture into the streets of Chiclayo's historic centre as we take a close look at the picturesque squares and traditional republican mansions. We'll then continue the tour to Chiclayo's main square, where two of the city's main monuments stand: the Municipal Palace and the Neoclassical Cathedral. We'll also find out about the shamanic traditions Chiclayo is known for, as well as being home to the most popular healers in the country. We'll discover this side of the city for ourselves during our visit to the Witches' Market, where we'll also meet a few local shamans and see some of the ingredients used to make potions and natural remedies up close.
We'll also discover what the herbs, tonics, snake skins, turtle shells, and shark jaws we see at the stalls are used for.
After 2.5 hours spent touring Chiclayo and the Witches' Market, we'll take you back to your hotel and say our goodbyes.
