On this excursion to the Cashibococha Lagoon, we'll visit two ecovillages in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest and connect with nature like never before.
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Pucallpa and head to the port of Cashibococha. From there, we’ll board a boat to travel to the community of La Pequeña María.
Upon arrival, you’ll discover how this community has creatively harnessed natural resources to create an eco-sustainable village. We’ll take a one-hour walk through plantations of cocona, mandarin, camu-camu, and other fruit trees. Along the way, you’ll also learn about the solar panel system that powers the entire village. For those interested, there’s an opportunity to try fishing.
Next, enjoy two hours of free time to swim in the tranquil lagoon. Afterward, you’ll have 30 minutes to kayak or paddleboard on the lagoon’s serene waters if you wish.
To end the experience, we’ll admire a breathtaking sunset over the Cashibococha Lagoon, offering the perfect moment to capture stunning photographs. Finally, we’ll return to your hotel in Pucallpa, wrapping up a memorable five-hour adventure.
