On our Dientes de Navarino Hike, you'll go on an adventure through the incredible scenery of the Tierra del Fuego. You'll also climb up to the Ukika-Róbalo ridge and admire the spectacular views.
Dientes de Navarino Hike
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Williams and drive to the starting point of the Dientes de Navarino hiking circuit.
After a quick introductory talk, we'll set off on our hike through the world's southernmost forests. We'll learn the differences between the trees, bushes and grasses that thrive in this remote Andean-Patagonian forest.
While we discover more about this area's flora and try to spot some endemic birds, we'll continue our hiking route by heading up a hill located in Navarino Island's interior. Once we're at the top, we'll gaze out at fantastic views of Puerto Williams and the Beagle Channel.
We'll also take a photo next to the large Chilean flag that sits atop the hill and then follow the Dientes de Navarino route to the south. This part of the route will take us to the top of the Ukika-Róbalo ridge, which is located at an altitude of 2,985 feet (910 metres).
Having admired the views from the ridge, we'll head down to a quiet area to have a picnic lunch of some local products and a beer. We'll then return to the trailhead and drive back to Puerto Williams. You'll be dropped off at your hotel at 4 pm. See you next time!
