Rugged mountains, breathtaking waterfalls and much more awaits on our Puerto Williams & Navarino Island Bike Tour! You'll cycle through the centre and outskirts of this city while admiring Navarino Island's spectacular scenery.
Puerto Williams & Navarino Island Bike Tour
We'll see you at 9 am at the Centro Comercial 140B. Once we've all arrived, we'll hop onto our bikes and start cycling around Puerto Williams.
To begin, we'll cycle through the most iconic spots in this beautiful Patagonian city, which is located on the north coast of Navarino Island. This island, which belongs to the Chilean part of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, is a great place to admire fantastic views of the Beagle Channel's southern shores.
During our cycling tour, we'll see a stretch of the Beagle Channel. We'll also stop in the area of Punta Gusanos to watch the numerous migratory birds that live here.
Our bike tour of Puerto Williams will then come to an end either at the Martín Gusinde Anthropological Museum or at the Micalvi Yacht Club (weather depending). Next, we'll head west through the beautiful trails that cross through Navarino Island's interior. As we explore these trails, we'll see the legacy of the Beagle conflict and the traces left behind by the Fuegian Yaganes Indigenous community.
This part of the tour will take us 4 miles (7 kilometres) away from Puerto Williams until we come to Los Bronces Bridge. When we get to this point, we'll go on a short walk to the waterfall of the same name. We'll have a local snack and craft beer here to get some of our energy back before returning to the bridge so we can cycle to the starting point.
The tour will finish at 1 pm back in Puerto Williams.
