Arteaga Gorge Tour (2 hours)
We'll meet up and start this activity by traveling from Salta to the outskirts of San Lorenzo. There we'll come across the Las Costas farm, where we'll start our bicycle tour through the Arteaga Gorge.
We'll cross a water reserve with crystal clear streams, which contribute to the growth of the very unique native vegetation. During the route, we'll appreciate the different changes in the landscape, going from a typical mountain forest to the so-called transition jungle.
Departure times: every day at 10 am and 3 pm.
Potrero Grande Tour (3 hours)
In this case, the route will take place in the area of Potrero Grande: a unique place that is protected by the mountains of the province of Salta.
During the bike tour, we'll cross the breathtaking landscapes of Selva Montana. This is an area of amazing botanical diversity, where we'll see different species such as walnut trees, matos, laurales, or horco molles. While cycling we'll also enjoy the sweet fragrance of bromeliads, orchids, and other similar plants.
We'll also make several stops to contemplate the pastures where the famous Argentinean horses of the province of Salta are grazing.
Departure times: every day at 10 am and 3 pm.
Uriburu and Cordillera Oriental Tour (7 hours)
This bike tour is, of the three itineraries, the most technically difficult route. However, if you're experienced cyclists you'll surely enjoy the tour.
We'll first ride to Uriburu, located at the foot of the Eastern Cordillera. From here, we'll start pedaling - the initial section of the route runs along the mountain range that surrounds San Lorenzo, and then we'll border the river of the Astilleros ravine.
We'll continue ascending steep slopes until we reach 2200 meters (7,220 feet) above sea level, the views at this altitude are breathtaking! We'll have a break to eat the picnic lunch that you'll have brought with you and, finally, we'll return to the starting point to return from there to your hotel in Salta.
Departure times: every day at 10 am.
