On this excursion to El Rey National Park, we'll depart from Salta to visit one of the most beautiful yungas jungles in northern Argentina—a true natural gem!
Tour Highlights
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salta and head east towards the region of Anta, where El Rey National Park is located.
We'll start our visit to this protected natural space by visiting its beautiful yungas jungles. It's a green environment with lush foliage covering most of the landscape. We'll enjoy these landscapes walking the trails of El Rey National Park, which will allow us to appreciate the botanical diversity of the area.
Along these trails, we'll also learn about other species of native plant life that stand out in this ecosystem. We will observe trees such as tipas, pacarás, pinos del cerro, tarcos, criollo walnut trees, and cedars, located in the different strata of the yungas. As we'll see, these specimens are covered by ferns and epiphytes, a characteristic that identifies this place as a jungle.
As we walk along the trails, we'll discover the wildlife of El Rey National Park. Depending on the conditions, we'll be able to see animals such as collared peccaries, brown brocket deer, tapirs, river otters, or pumas. After contemplating the different specimens, we'll replenish our strength with a picnic lunch in the middle of nature. This picnic includes a sandwich, a piece of fruit, a slice of cake, and two bottles of mineral water.
After lunch, we'll return to Salta. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled 12 hours after pickup.
